In The Picture: A Night Celebrating Women in Music // 25th March //

There's no denying that there's a hell of a lot of men in the music industry, and the ratio of producers, sound engineers, and female bands is shockingly lower in comparison to men. So, when I saw In The Picture were holding a night to celebrate women in music who are doing an incredible job, I of course bought tickets faster than I could say "girl power!"

If it wasn't enough that it's an event dedicated to celebrating uber-cool women, In The Picture have also delivered an insanely good women-fronted line-up with special guests, for one night only at The Finsbury.

Anteros are set to headline the night, and if you're a fan of dreamy pop music with hints of Blondie coming through then this Brit four-piece are the band for you. Be sure to catch them on the night, as this band are set to become huge this year having already begun 2017 on tour with Two Door Cinema Club.

Lazy Day are the laid-back alt-rock band making tunes you've been missing in your life, and three-piece Wyldest offer enigmatic indie-pop tracks you'll be singing for days. To top it off, all-female quartet Peach Club are carrying on the Riot Grrrl movement with their brilliant punk music and are set to start off the night with a bang.

There's undoubtedly a band for everyone playing the night, and for only £10 why wouldn't you head on down to the Finsbury to celebrate the amazing women doing us proud in the music industry. Get warmed up for the night below with a Soundcloud playlist, featuring all the girl-fronted bands set to play on the night.
